Correct System (Asphalt + Aluminum path)

  1. Fix depressions/ponds

     

    • Make sure it will not rain in the next 24hours
  2. Repair active leaks, cracks, seams

    • Use 7509 Plastic Cement (or 7509WD if damp)     or    Resisto “Pro” Plastic Cement super roof repair  1915    for:

      Cracks or splits in the membrane Open seams/laps       Flashing penetrations

      For large cracks/holes, embed polyester reinforcing fabric into the, then cover with another trowel coat

  3. Field coat

    • Apply  Innovative Manufacturing 7504 Roof Coat over the entire roof field.

    • This rejuvenates the old asphalt, waterproofs the whole surface, and ties in the cured 1906 patches.

    • Coverage ~0.5 gal/100 ft² per coat.

      Application Method

      Stir thoroughly before use.

      Apply by roof brush, roller, or spray.

      Coverage: approx. 0.5 US gal per 100 ft² (≈ 2 L per 10 m²).

      Apply in a thin, even coat. Heavy coats can crack.

      Work into all irregularities and around details for complete coverage.

      Curing

      Allow to cure 24–48 h, depending on weather.

      Coating will skin over in a few hours but needs full cure before any traffic or topcoat.

 

  1. Reflective finish (mandatory)

    • After ~90 days weathering, apply a reflective top:
